Like Cellucor? Want Free Supps?

Like Cellucor supplements? Wanting to get great fitness results? Well, I might just have an offer that combines the best of both worlds! As most of you know, I am a HUGE Cellucor fanatic. I am part of their black ops group that periodically gets to check out and review new supplements before or as they hit shelves. Also, I use many Cellucor supplements each and every day! I stand by so many of them, and I recommend that, if you haven’t already, you give their product line a look or two! They have great supplements to take before your workout, during your workout, and after your workout. They have fat burners, testosterone boosters, and so much more. Truly, I find their supplements to be WORLD CLASS!

So… What’s The Deal?

Most of you know that I have a promo code (DWAYNE) that you can use at check-out when you buy directly from Cellucor.com! This promo code will give you 20 off your entire order and free shipping. You can’t beat that! But, this is old news, right? I mean… I’ve had this promo code for quite a long time now. True, but I am offering a special additional incentive for the month of May.

The Incentive!

If 15 orders or more are made during the month of May using my promo code (DWAYNE) on Cellucor.com, I will randomly select [during one of my YouTube video shoots] one person from those who ordered and send him/her a Cellucor supplement valued up to $40 retail. If 20 or more orders are generated using my promo code during the month of May, I will select two random (different) people [who ordered using my code] to receive a Cellucor supplement valued up to $40 retail. How awesome is that?

How do I participate?

Simple!

  1. Order from Cellucor.com and use my promo code DWAYNE when you checkout.
  2. Then, fill out a quick form at http://fitness.dwaynekilbourne.com/cellucornation/ – I’m not saving your contact information nor selling it to anybody else. Basically, I am just needing it so that I can (a) verify that you ordered using my promo code and (b) have your shipping information in case you are one of the lucky people selected to get some awesome Cellucor supps!
  3. Order more if you want additional chances!

Cellucor | 20% off and free shipping

Hints!

Here are a few things to consider if you want additional chances to get the free supplement.

  • If you will need to buy more than one supplement this month, why not make separate orders? You can enter as many times as you order. One order placed today with two items on it is eligible for one entry; however, two orders of one item would be eligible for two entries (no matter which days you make those orders so long as they happen in May).
  • Do your friends need some supplements? Cool! Tell them you can get 20% off – have them pay you the money for the supplements and order them under your name! Bam… you just increased your odds!
  • Tighter on money this month? Team up with some friends, pool your money together for those supplements that you need to buy, and get in on the action!

Simple, Huh?

It’s that simple! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me on Facebook or Twitter! And be sure to follow Cellucor on Facebook and Twitter too! They are always sharing upcoming news and releases on social media first!

On The Go With C4 Extreme

As noted numerous times before, I am a huge Cellucor fan. In addition, most people within my various social circles know that I have not quenched my thirst with a carbonated beverage since Christmas of 1999. Recently, I was on a 12-hour road trip to Michigan [through the dark of night] for a family wedding. While we had three drivers (total) available, most of us were very tired leading up to the trip. After a long day of work, I took the first two hours up I-75 before turning over the next three hours to Elaine. Mom was traveling with us, so she took the next hour but was very tired, so I took the last leg – 6 hours in total.

Cellucor C4 Extreme - Pink Lemonade

Planning Ahead & Experimentation

I knew that I would be driving the last leg of the trip because I knew that winter conditions would probably be tougher as we drove further north. As we planned the trip upon receiving the wedding invitation, I knew that we’d have to drive at night and after I had a long day of work. Hence, I started to think of ways to both get more sleep leading up to the trip and find a way to stay awake in the event of getting really tired. Since I’m not one to drink carbonated beverages, I wondered if some pre-workout supplement could and would assist me when I needed it most. So, with a little extra C4 Extreme in the supplement cupboard, I set off to give it a go!

The Results?

Well, I am pleased to say that C4 really helped me. Since it was a longer trip and did not expect it to work for 12 consecutive hours, I did not use it at the beginning of the trip. After my two-hour driving shift to start the trip, I was able to get a few hours of rest, but I was a bit tired when I got back behind the wheel as we were just south of Dayton, Ohio. So, I had my C4 Pink Lemonade handy and started off with just water to drink. About 40 minutes later, I could sense that I might grow more tired, so I took 2 scoops of C4. Before you knew it, I hit the Michigan line, and I was merely 2 hours away from our destination. Around 8:30a.m., we pulled in to Grand Blanc, Michigan. Yet, I was still energized. I did not crash once I got to the hotel. Certainly, I got more sleep that next evening, but C4 worked! Have you ever tried using a pre-workout supplement in lieu of a traditional energy drink to help you stay awake?

Cellucor M5 Extreme | The Real Deal Pre-Workout

Over the course of the past 14 months, I have had the chance to use what I consider to be the very best [and legal] pre-workout supplement of my generation, Cellucor M5 Extreme 2-in-1! Certainly, it is the very best supplement I have ever taken when it comes to getting that pre-workout edge that I sought to take my training to the next level.

A Little Supplement History

Long ago, I used JACK3D, and I found it effective, but I suddenly began to plateau. So, I took two months off of using any pre-workout. Then, I tried it again, and the results were minimal at best; I sought an alternative. Some friends of mine told me about their great results with C4 Extreme from a growing supplement company named Cellucor. That was in early 2011! After I found great results with Cellucor’s C4 Extreme pre-workout supplement in spring and summer of 2011, Cellucor came out with a new [and powerful] pre-workout supplement called Cellucor M5 Extreme 2-in-1! It is the first supplement of its kind, allowing consumers to customize their pre-workout experience, thereby better meeting their needs.

How It Works!

So, how does this supplement work? Glad that you asked! First, the container is divided in half, separating the ingredients of the pre-workout supplement. Second, the consumer takes one [large] scoop of the bottom portion; they call this the BUILD part. Third, consumers can take up to two [smaller] scoops of the top portion; they call this the IGNITE part. Combine all this in with about 12 ounces of water, and you’ll be pumped! As you can see, the consumer/fitness guru/bodybuilder has the capability to easily determine how much energy boost he or she is adding to the workout. For me, I go for the full recommended dosage before 99.9% of my workouts, but some people might find that they are working out super late at night and are concerned that the energy found in the IGNITE portion might keep them up too late, so consumers are able to scale back the amount of the IGNITE portion. Talk about empowering the consumer by providing choices! Honestly, it is surprising that other supplement companies did not come up with that idea long ago. Kudos to Cellucor!

Cellucor M5 Extreme 2-in-1 Facts

Don’t Just Take My Word For It!

Many people swear by Cellucor’s M5 Extreme 2-in-1. My buddy, Eric, has been working out for years (probably decades). He weighs around 250lbs and finds M5 Extreme 2-in-1 to be really powerful. In fact, he sticks with one scoop of the IGNITE portion when he takes it. Check back for more testimonials from gym-goers just like you! Plus, I must say that Cellucor stands by their products! Have you taken M5 Extreme 2-in-1? Please comment below and let me know how well you like it and what results you’ve experienced with it!

Blast The Legs With Mike O’Hearn

For some off reason, many people hate to train their legs. If you are like me, you have friends and family members who just do some cardio and then ignore the legs the rest of the time; many of them love to train upper body, but that is it. For me, I crave leg day; while my legs do not appear to be enormously big and overly chiseled, they are [by most accounts] pretty strong. One thing that I have done in the past is focus on body parts / muscle groups that people hate to train and become the best I can be at it. Back when I was in the United States Marine Corps Reserves and was training at Camp Johnson in North Carolina, many of the physical fitness trainers (who were Marine NCOs and above) would lead PT with some killer exercises, mainly core abdominal routines [like flutter kicks for minutes long], that were designed to break Marines or at least push the Marines to the limits. For me, it was an opportunity to get really good at those so I could basically do those [flutter kick] exercises in my sleep! The same type of thing happened in boot camp a few years prior (2000) wherein many drill instructors would burn out a ton of diamond pushups or the infamous mountain climbers. I took these lessons and attitude and further applied it to my workout routine. As a result, I pride myself on going strong on leg days; sure, these days might be dreaded by many, but we must not shy away from and ignore our leg routines. On numerous occasions as a young adult, I was reminded that our legs are our foundation; if you want to get bigger in the upper body, you need to start hitting the legs.

Legs are the building blocks and foundation

Changing up the routines from time to time is a great habit to get into. For me, I need to add some lunges into the mix in the very near future. So, what exercise have you been ignoring or putting off until another day? If you want a great leg routine to add into the mix, I highly recommend Mike O’Hearn’s power leg routine. He puts together some great routines, and he is highly active in and throughout social media channels, always answering questions from fans and avid fitness folks! You can find him and his great tutorials on Twitter and Facebook, among other places online. So, take it from me, and check out his routines and tips. Below is his leg routine (7 sets of squats for 3 reps each, 5 sets of leg press for 10 reps each, and 5 sets of leg extension that I have found great results with; give it a try the next time you are in the gym!

Hanging Tough – Focus on the Goals

In the past week or two, I have felt a bit sluggish. I really could not pinpoint the main reasons why I was feeling as tired as I was, but I am sure that it was a combination of diet and rest. I still do not drink carbonated beverages and have not since Christmas of 1999, so water is my main beverage of choice yet I am sure that I have not been drinking enough throughout the day. Also, there are nights when my schedule just did not allow me to sleep long enough, so I am sure that it caught up with me. I guess you could consider this to be a challenging time of sorts for me, but I would not let it bring me down. Instead, I remembered what my main short- and long-term goals were, and made a plan according to them.

feeling sluggish??

While unusual for me, I ended up taking a few days off here and there from the gym to ensure that my body was fully rested. I decided to take 10 days off of pre-workout supplements. I even shifted my workout routines towards high repetition, low-weight exercises, and I shortened the time I stayed in the gym. Thus far, I am feeling a little bit better, but I know that I need to also step up my cardio. So, I plan to add more cardio back into the mix in the next few days, and I will transition back to Cellucor M5 Extreme 2-in-1 from [Cellucor] C4 Extreme for my preworkout once I get back to my next chest day (in two more days).

I wanted to share my odd [ongoing] experience with you to say this. We all must hang tough. Challenges will come our way, so we have to continue to focus on the goals that we have made for ourselves and ensure that we are doing the right things to reach them. Are you staying on track with your workout plan and/or diet? Are you sleeping enough at night? Are you drinking enough water? Are you staying positive no matter what life throws at us, good or bad?

Persistence and Positivity Pay Off!

So, we are already well into the second month of the year, and most of us have hit a few challenges along the way towards our fitness goals. For some, it might be the lack of energy or drive to continue the workout routine that we set forth in our New Year’s resolutions; for others, it might just be a lack of time available in the schedule over recent weeks. No matter the situation, keep on track and moving towards your goals can be a challenge in and of itself. I’m here to encourage you to remain persistent with your hard work ethic and discipline. Additionally, I recommend that you remain positive throughout. By doing both, you will be able to climb closer to your goals. Certainly, the journey can be extra frustrating at times, but, where there’s a will, there’s a way. Keep on track and keep your head held high! Before you know it, your goals will come into sight. Here are a few quick tips to keep you in the game.

  1. Be sure to have reachable, quantifiable goals! You want to make sure that your goals are realistic, timely, and quantifiable. For me, I want to lift more weight on the bench press, but I need to be sure that I pick a specific number of reps for a specific weight if I am going to be able to better achieve my goal. Of course, while I’d love to bench press 500lbs, that is not a reasonable goal for me right now, so I selected 315lbs for 4 reps and 225lbs for 10 reps instead!
  2. Keep track of your progress! It is always great to see how well you are doing along the journey. If you are trying to lose 10lbs in 6 weeks, maybe you want to weigh yourself every week. If you are trying to walk 5 miles each day, maybe you should get something like the FitBit to help you monitor your daily progress. Tracking your progress can be a great motivational tool as you strive to reach each goal.
  3. Reward Yourself! As you reach various milestones and your overall goals, be sure to take a minute to reward yourself. If you attach an award for reaching a specific goal or milestone from the outset, it can really help boost your overall motivation levels!

goal barriers

Let me know how your resolution journey is going thus far. Keep working at your goals, stay on track, and remain positive! In the end, you will thank yourself!

Cellucor NO3 Chrome Initial Review

Have you tried any of Cellucor’s pre-workout supplements? Cellucor currently has four different pre-workout options available: C4 Extreme, M5 Extreme 2-in-1, N-Zero Extreme, and NO3 Chrome. The first three are stimulant-based pre-workout supplements (the first two also include creatine in the formula) with the last one being both stimulant-free and creatine-free. NO3 Chrome is a “Nitric Oxide Pump Amplifier” supplement that comes in pill (capsule) form. Mainly, NO3 Chrome comes in either a 90-capsule or 180-capsule bottle – although, I have seen a 21-capsule bottle offered on some website.

Cellucor NO3 Chrome plus Supplement Facts

The recommended dosage is based on your weight and/or if you are stacking it with other Cellucor supplements; here is what Cellucor recommends you take 60 to 90 minutes before workout:

Condition

Dosage

Stacking with other Cellucor pre-workout 3
Body weight is less than or equal to 160lbs 3
Body weight between 161lbs and 180lbs 4
Body weight between 181lbs and 200lbs 5
Body weight 201lbs or greater 6

Initial Thoughts – Summary

After reviewing NO3 Chrome, I have mixed feelings about this supplement. Overall, I found no negative side effects when using it, but the supplement retails for about $50 for the 90-capsule bottle and $100 for the 180-capsule bottle, so this falls outside of many people’s price range. If I was to rate this product on a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being super great and 1 being really terrible), I’d give this a solid 7.5 or maybe 8 on a good day.

When Should I Buy NO3 Chrome?

  1. You are a bodybuilding who is currently using C4 Extreme, M5 Extreme 2-in-1, or N-Zero Extreme and want an added boast (amplifying your current pump).
  2. You have been taking stimulant-based pre-workout supplements for a little while, and you are looking to take a break (from stimulants) in order to reset your body and avoid the plateau.
  3. You are somebody who is really sensitive to stimulants but is still looking for (and needing/needing) a pre-workout supplement in order to optimize your workout results!

When Should I Buy a Different Cellucor Pre-workout Supplement?

  1. You are looking for a stimulant-based pre-workout supplement.
  2. You are on a small budget and are pondering whether to buy one pre-workout supplement that costs a little bit more or to buy something like C4 Extreme and some post-workout protein!
  3. You are looking for something that will give you the same kick and feeling as a Jack3d, 1MR, or C4 Extreme.

Wrap Up!

Overall, I do like this product, but I would recommend it mainly when you are looking to cycle off stimulants (and stimulant-based pre-workout supplements) and when you want to amplify a Cellucor pre-workout supplement like M5 Extreme 2-in-1! I’d love to hear what you think about NO3 Chrome. Are you getting great results from it? Is it worth the investment for you?

Cellucor M5 Extreme 2-in-1 Initial Review

Cellucor M5 Extreme 2-in-1 is a pre-workout supplement that gives the user the capability of customizing the supplement to their specific workout needs. One thing about most pre-workout supplements is that they normally have an ingredient or two that boosts energy levels, and, normally, these are stimulant-based. Sure, this is a great thing in many cases, but what about when you get to the gym late but still need to make sure you can fall off to sleep at a reasonable time? I remember many times in the past few years where I would arrive at the gym late for a heavy workout and later find that the pre-workout (typically nitric oxide-based) was keeping me up later than I wanted. So, back to this new customizable version of Cellucor M5 Extreme, this supplement comes in a split container with two compartments. The bottom portion is their “Build” component while the top portion is their “Ignite” component. Hence, if you need the added energy boost, you can always add a scoop or two of the “Ignite” to your one scoop of the “Build” in order to kick things up one or two notches. On the other hand, if you do not need the added energy boost or simply want to work out without the stimulants for any reason, you can merely take one scoop of the “Build” component and go hit the weights!

Some Personal Cellucor History

Prior to winning the Cellucor (Supplements for one year) contest, I was a loyal customer of some of their more popular products. To give a quick history, I started my Cellucor supplement experience with a purchase of their C4 Extreme pre-workout supplement. At the time, I was wanting to give a different product a try after have some mixed success with Jack3d during various cycles throughout the previous six months. I found C4 to be quite explosive (pun intended), but I kept hearing about some product called M5. After doing a quick search, I realized that M5 Extreme was a muscle-building pre-workout product that brought together an advanced mixture of creatine that allows for enhanced muscle building! At the time, I still had my 60-serving container of C4 Extreme. I heard that it stacked really nicely with M5 Extreme (what I believe is now basically the “Build” portion of the new 2-in-1 version), so I bought a 60-serving container of the older version of M5 Extreme so I could stack one scoop of C4 Extreme with one scoop of this M5 Extreme! After I was running low on this combined stack, I heard and later saw that Cellucor was introducing the new 2-in-1 version of its M5 Extreme. On August 4, 2011, I bought 30-serving container for my birthday, and immediately hit the gym!

Initial Thoughts

First, I must say that I really enjoyed the supplement. I found it quite intriguing that Cellucor took a solid M5 Extreme pre-workout supplement of theirs and made it so I could customize my pre-workout supplement each day based on what I needed and how I felt before hitting the gym each evening. Second, I was excited to use this product since I found it very tasty and helpful in the gym. We all know that some of the best foods (or supplements) do not always appeal to our taste spuds, but this was not the case with the Fruit Punch M5 Extreme 2-in-1 supplement. Plus, and more importantly, I found the supplement to help me optimize my workouts! I have enhanced focus while in the gym, and I felt like I could get that extra rep when I really needed it!

My Dosage

I always recommend that you read the label, consult your physician as needed, and definitely follow the dosage recommendations for M5 Extreme 2-in-1, and that recommendation goes for any supplement that you are looking to take. In the case of the 2-in-1 M5 Extreme, I almost always took one big scoop of the “Build” component and 1.5 to 2 scoops of the “Ignite” component. I mixed that in a blender bottle, usually in one of my SmartShake (Jay Cutler 20oz special edition) blender bottle, with about 10 ounces of water. After drinking it about 30 minutes before my workout, I would normally have a little bit of leftover residue in the bottle of my blender bottle, so I added some more water, shook it up, and drank that on the way to the gym. Before hitting the weights, I would still get in a little cardio warmup for five to ten minutes. I used this product for one whole month, working out each and every day, and I found it highly effective for me. Obviously, it is a good idea to drink plenty of water each and every day, and I highly recommend that you especially drink plenty of water (60+ ounces) if you are doing a good deal of cardio, taking supplements, and/or want to optimize your bodily functions (ie metabolism).

Summary of Personal Findings / Score

-          Effectiveness = 9 out of 10

-          Focus = 8 out of 10

-          Value = 8 out of 10

-          Taste = 9 out of 10

-          Dosage = 9 out of 10

-          Quality = 9 out of 10

-          Packaging = 8 out of 10

-          Uniqueness = 10 out of 10 (for the customization)

-          Overall = 8.5 out of 10

Recommendation

If you are somebody who wants to add some focus and some strength in the weight room, I highly recommend that you give this product a try. This is a good pre-workout supplement that is easy to use, customizable to your workout needs, and effective! While the price is a little higher than some might like, it is worth the retail price as you are paying for quality in the form of Magnesium Creatine Chelate and Creatine Nitrate (among other great ingredients)!

This is a highly popular product, so you might find that your local GNC has it on backorder. From what I understand, that issue should be resolved in late September, but I would recommend that you check your local Max Muscle store; for those in the Kennesaw, Georgia, area, the Max Muscle Cobb store owners and staff members are very knowledgeable and helpful! In addition to Max Muscle supplements, they carry a good deal of Cellucor products, so they tend to have a bunch of great stuff in stock! Plus, when all of the local GNC stores and the GNC.com website were out of stock, this Max Muscle location was the only place in the region that still had some M5 Extreme 2-in-1 in stock! This is where I bought my C4 Extreme and M5 2-in-1 from and where I spend most of my supplement shopping time at!

Take Stress Out at the Gym

Did you have a long day at work? Are you frustrated with your boss? Did you children upset you? Did somebody in your family give you bad news today? Well, life certainly has a lot of difficult hurdles to jump over, but much of the question is how you handle adversity and stress. Some might bottle it up while others want to scream at the top of their lungs. Ultimately, you need an out! I highly recommend that you just try and release your stress, frustrations, and other negative feelings at the gym. I have found that that this is a great way to do just that! I have bad days from time to time, but keeping a positive attitude at each step of the way is critical to me reaching my short-term and long-term goals! If I bottle it all up inside, that is not good for me, and I doubt that it is any good for you. Certainly, there are times when you just want to choke somebody or yell at them, but taking out that aggression at the gym is both healthier for you and for your wallet! We do not need you building up the frustration until you find yourself about to explode on somebody one of these days; only bad things come from that sort of action. The great thing about fitness is that you can do so many different things. Maybe, you have a favorite sport to play. Do you like to run or cycle? Do you like to lift weights? Experts in the medical field have found that exercise is an easy way to alleviate stress! It is important that you find something positive to do in order to better manage that stress. If you do not, the overabundance of stress will have a negative effect on your body.

stress

Lastly, make sure that you are eating good, clean foods. If you are eating a lot of unhealthy foods, it is greatly possible that they might be hindering your ability to (optimally) manage your stress levels! In some cases, some foods are known to trigger more stressful moods; there is a link between stress and nutrition deficiencies!

Fitness on the Fly

Everybody likes to take a little vacation every once in a while, right? I certainly do! That means, however, that you are probably going to be away from your favorite gym, and it also means that you probably are going to be busy having a lot of fun, thereby limiting the amount of time you have to get a run in or hit the weights. In many cases, you might be going to a vacation destination with few gym equipment options that are readily available and handy. So, what do you do? Well, I recommend that you get creative where and whenever possible! In a recent summer trip to Orlando, I found myself away from my full-size gym for one week, and I found myself on the go a lot too. What did I do? Well, I ended up doing the basics like pushups and crunches. Also, the resort we were staying at had a lazy river, and we went to the east coast (to Port Canaveral) to hang out at the beach. During both occasions, I found myself turning the swim and walking in the water into a workout! Guess what? It was fun… have you ever tried to run out into the ocean as fast and as far as your body would allow? Have you tried to fend off the waves by driving through the legs? I found this really refreshing; it was a nice little workout! However, I will admit that I really did not get as creative as I could and should have! Recently, I ran across a fitness fanatic (kind of like me) named Ross Yeager, the founder and creator of J&R Maximum Performance! He and his colleagues put together a simple YouTube video about this very topic (see quick video below)! It reminded me that, even when we do not have the gym available to workout in, we can still get a workout in. I recommend that you take a few minutes of each day of your vacation and come up with a little workout! Just make sure you have fun with it because fitness is supposed to be a fun (yet challenging) thing to embrace!

Great tips, guys! Also, I must quickly mention that your nutrition is just as (and probably even moreso) important. I know your (eating) options are a bit more limited at times on vacation, and you might want to just kick back and enjoy the tasty food that you might otherwise skip. I say… enjoy the delicious foods on your trip, but use some common sense along the way too. Picking your times to eat, when possible, can be a great way to keep the “damage” under control. Also, when possible, make sure that you are still eating smaller-portioned meals while on your getaway! Lastly, do NOT forget to drink plenty of water!! Okay, now that we have talked about vacations, I think it is time for me to figure out where and when I might want to vacation next!
